Another Honey Pop Flower Bloomed!

With the XXL Glue Dots and Honey Pop paper sitting on my desk, well... I just couldn't resist making another Honey Pop flower!

It kind of looks the same as yesterday's one, but this time I rounded my petals instead, making sort of a heart shape for the petal template.

I really like the look of three layers so I did it again and added a flat flower bling for the center.

Gosh, I wish real gardening was so easy! Thanks for stopping by today and I hope you're having a Blooming great week!

Honey Pop Flower!

Honey Pop!...doesn't it just make you think about bees? Then, bees start making you think about Flowers!

So, why not make some flowers with Honey POP!

Here's an easy way that I made this one. First, I drew a template for my petal on the sticky end of a post-it note. I cut it out and placed it on  the edge of the honey pop paper, keeping it verically in line with the arrows on the paper. Traced and cut it out.

Took the cut out piece of honey pop paper and carefully opened it up, spreading it out full length.

Then, took a XXL Glue dot, and started to stick the bottom edge of the petal onto the glue dot, going around the edge in a circular fashion. Went completely around, slightly overlapped the edges and cut off the excess.

Now, for my flower, I added another layer of the stretched out honey pop paper in a different color. Stuck it on the same way.
Then, I decide I wanted one more layer of the first color.

Added a flat button flower for the center with a regular glue dot.

Now, wasn't that super easy?!

Go and experiment with different petal shapes, just remember that the petal's vertical direction has to match the direction of the arrow on the honey pop paper. Otherwise, you will not be able to stretch it out. You don't have to make the petals really long and you don't have to have lot of layers like my flower, so you can actually make a lot of flowers from one sheet of honey pop paper.

Thanks for stopping by today and I hope you're having a super great week!

August is here with a new Joy of Crafting Show!

We have lots of new crafts to share on this first show for August and we have a special new guest for you to meet!
Megumi Yamaguchi came from Tokyo, Japan to teach some Japanese Style Gift wrapping classes for Celebrations. On the show, she shares one style of wrapping with the help of her interpreter, Brandon. Here, she demonstrates how to use the Flower Wrap to wrap a box and decorate it with a Flower motif on top.

Next, we had Gloria form Pearl City BFC back to share with us another version of the paracord bracelet, this time with two colors!

Lastly, I give you some tips on how to use the Inky Antics Honey Pop collection to make cute cards. The honeycomb paper is so fun to use!

Also, I wanted to give you a heads up on OC16. Starting on Thursday, August 16th, there will be a channel change. The channel will still be called OC16 but it will move to channel 12 (HD will be 1012). Just thought I'd let you know since I know a lot of you DVR the different shows.

Well, I hope you can find time to catch this show! Thanks for stopping by today and I hope you have a wonderfully creative week!
