First Snow for November! ...I mean Show!

Ha Ha Ha! It's really beginning to look a lot like Christmas around here! We have a bunch of Holiday crafts for this first November show...

Jenny Floro is back with a trio of snowmen holiday décor! They are super fast to make and can be used for different things.

 

Then, we welcome to the show Pua Cockett from Mapunapuna BFC. Pua shows us her wreath making technique to make a festive design!

Lastly, we have Erika Pascual from Pearl City show us how to make some really cute snowman ornaments that look like snow globes!

Yes, It's December's first show!

We have fun guests for December with some amazing project ideas!

So happy we have Derek Kurisu from KTA Super stores on the Big Island back to share his fun culinary talent! He always supports local food companies. This time, he helps us with our holiday parties with some tofu salad!

And a poi, kalua pork and lomi lomi salmon "parfait".

Next, we have Coty Chandler from the Mapunapuna Bead Shoppe with a cute angel charm. These are perfect for hanging on your bag or to slip onto your planner! Makes a really great gift, too!

Lastly, I'll show how to make a basic slider card. You can use it to make a fun Christmas card this year!

November's Second Show

Wow! The holidays are just sneaking up so fast! Currently on the show, we have some wonderful holidays projects!

Celebrate with Timeless Traditions! Diane from Mapunapuna Ben Franklin Crafts puts together a colorful festive wreath in bright reds and greens. She's always so amazing!

 

It wouldn't be the holidays without Joel from Celebrations. This time he and special guest, Bryan Odo, show us how to use the origami kusudama flower to make an ornament! So, cool!

Then, Jenny Floro gets us ready for the Holidays with beautiful tablescaping ideas!

November's second Joy of Crafting Show

We're right in the middle of the Holiday crafting season and we've got a show with some fun ideas!

Our first guest is Kari Foteff from Strathmore, the people who make all of those great artist paper pads. Here she shares a new item, Artist Tiles. Perfectly square paper pads for your favorite media.

Then, we have Deborah Irvin back from Market City BFC. Deborah dresses up a cute wreath for Santa's Helpers!

Lastly, I'll show you how to make a simple Santa favor box. You make it with mostly punches and it's perfect for parties or little co-worker thank yous. Here's the project sheet.

Creative Office Wreaths

So, as you saw with our Halloween Costumes, the Ben Franklin Crafts Honolulu Office has some pretty creative people. And they LOVE to CRAFT!

So, we divided up into teams by department and four people each. The result is 5 Super Fun wreaths!  Every team started with a 12" extruded foam wreath that they had to use. Here's what the teams came up with...

 I call this the Blue wreath, made of curled strips of blue cardstock  in different shades. Good idea if you want something to perfectly match your color scheme!

This one I call the Sweet wreath. It uses Deco Mesh ribbon and is decorated with sweets.

See the center heart candies! So Cute!

This next one, I call the Donut Door wreath. They mounted their wreath on a hand made door with a fancy door handle.

The donut's star and sprinkles were made with Perler beads. And the donut twinkles from a flashing lightbulb necklace.

Next is the Grinch wreath. In this case, a scarecrow was reborn into the Grinch with a very good hand-drawn and painted face! What talent!

The Grinch holds a Dream Catcher wreath covered with some of their team's favorite things that represents them.

The last wreath I call the Slippah wreath. It has four pairs of handmade slippahs made of foamies. Each slippah is supposed to represent the person who made it.

An eco-friendly design decoupaged slippah.

A barefoot happy slippah.

A colorful watercolor slippah.

Now, these wreaths were made for a contest and the winners will be chosen on Thursday by a panel of judges. It doesn't matter which team wins, everyone had a lot of FUN working together to make their wreath.

Can you guess which wreath was made by which department team? There are two teams from Accounting, one from Advertising, one from Human Resources and one from IT.
